Alex Ingram’s Magic Recipe for Curing Stress Related Illnesses

Our resident nutritionist, veggie (who loves the smell of bacon), Miss Alex Ingram, swears by a dose of turmeric to fight off any stress-induced colds and other illnesses that can spread around offices, especially if we work long hours and don’t get enough rest.  The people in Eastern cultures swear by it and it’s a great detox.

Alex’ Golden Paste: 

  • Organic Powdered Turmeric (125gm)
  • Filtered Water (250ml)
  • Ground Black Pepper (1.5 tsp) – helps absorb the Turmeric properly
  • Cold Pressed Coconut Oil (70ml)

Mix together in a pan, heat gently until you get a thick paste.  If paste is too watery, add more turmeric. Allow mixture to cool and keep in a jar for up to two weeks.

Golden Turmeric Latte

Mix one teaspoon of paste per mug of milk in a saucepan. Heat gently and add raw honey (to taste). Enjoy with a sprinkle of cinnamon on top!
